Similarly to the two previous parts of the series, in The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes we observe the action from film shots. In the course of the game we can take control over several characters who roam various locations, solve environmental puzzles and face various challenges - from arcade to clashes and escaping from adversaries. How their fates will turn out, as well as which protagonists will survive or how (and when) they will die, depends on our actions and the choices we make.
